BEAT / FULMINATION
BEAT / FULMINATION explores repetition, accumulation, tension and suspension through ordinary materials transformed by persistent acts of making. Individual elements are bound, gathered and repeated until they begin to behave as a larger body—one responsive to gravity, movement, environment and time.
The work emerges through an intuitive process of constructing, testing and responding to materials. Rather than illustrating a predetermined form, each piece develops through the physical consequences of repetition: what happens when something is tied, wrapped, accumulated, suspended or allowed to move.
