I MEANT TO TELL YOU | 2013
Consisting of thirty individual panels, I Meant to Tell You explores longing, communication, and the passage of time within personal history. Each panel represents a day within a calendar month and is made entirely from adhesives—glue, string, and tape—materials whose functional purpose is to bind and hold things together.
The panels resemble blank sheets of legal paper, suggesting spaces for communication or documentation. Yet no words appear. Instead, blue lines break from expected patterns, forming their own expressions within fields of contained yet imperfectly poured yellow. What might have been written remains unspoken, while the materials themselves become a record of time, connection, and absence.

What We Said Is Between Us considers communication within intimate relationships, particularly what is expressed without being spoken. Actions, gestures, and absences become forms of communication, requiring one to interpret what exists between the lines.
The works are intentionally larger in scale, measuring 30 × 40 inches, creating a physical sense of the space that can emerge between two people when shared understandings and promises begin to break down. What remains unspoken becomes as present as what has been said.
